St. Jacob’s church Annually and especially in summer months, the church is the site for traditional organ concerts of classical music. The church dates back to the second half of the 13th century. Originally, it was consecrated to St. Christopher, the protector of fords and roads; in 1569 the church was extended and re-consecrated to St. Jacob. The organ, installed in 1719, is one of the best preserved baroque instruments in Bohemia. After 1753, the church was renovated in the Baroque style, the bay was extended and the tower was built.
Castle It was established at the end of the 13th century at the site of a wooden stronghold as the seat of the Episcopal administrator of the domain (the town was for the larger part of its history owned by the Prague Bishopric, later Archbishopric). The original appearance of the castle is not known. What remains is the entrance bridge with the last Renaissance conversion at the end of the 16th century, the moat and a part of the rampart.
Revolving auditorium The open-air theatre is located in the park at the site of the original castle. It was built in 1983 and is analogous to the revolving auditorium in Český Krumlov. In summer, the theatre company, Vltavan, holds performances here.
